Relational Therapy

...collaborates to take care of interpersonal relationships and seeks well-being for people.

Relational Therapy is therapy that works with the collaboration of participants in dialogues, to promote self-awareness and to improve communication and understanding.

This therapy is based on the relational-systemic theory, which is the basis of family therapy and helps participants, who are faced with a difficulty or problem, to have a space for expression and dialogue, welcoming and mediated by a therapist-collaborator.

The therapist encourages reflection, making interventions, to find together the best way to deal with a difficult situation. When someone suffers, the people around them also suffer. This therapy finds cooperative solutions to the issues presented .

What are the meetings like?

At meetings, we observe together family communications and relationships. This favors greater individual awareness and the exchange of collaborations between members.

The therapist mediates the dialogue and can bring other forms of expression such as art, play and games to expand communication and offer a welcoming and safe space.

This work can be done individually, or with the participation of other members.

Systemic thinking allows one to broaden the perspective and also helps with relationships between family and school and other external care agencies, such as doctors and therapists, who are involved in the situation presented.

Who is this therapy for?

  • Individual Therapy: For people who need to talk about something that bothers them and causes suffering. Systemic individual therapy is possible, as the subject brings within himself the stories, speeches and sensations he experiences in his personal relationships and these elements are worked on in therapy
  • Couples Therapy: Couples are the main family nucleus , and their life cycle goes through several stages and unique moments, from the beginning of the relationship onto the multiple situations of life. In emotional relationships, we experience intense moments, which often present delicate situations that can be supported by therapy.

  • Family Therapy: Families are in constant transformation and development and often need a collaborator to expand dialogue and encourage listening, to seek better forms of interaction and relationships.

  • Individuals, couples and families who are experiencing difficulties with the physical or mental health of a member.

  • Individuals, couples and families in contact with another culture or living outside Brazil.
  • Children with learning difficulties  and need help at relationships with family and school.

  • Various situations involving interpersonal relationships .

  • To experience conversation, play, games, art and love with others.

Relational therapy helps to improve interpersonal relationships, promotes greater understanding of oneself and the family and even the wider community, in times of difficulty. Often recommended by doctors and therapists, it has surprising results in cases when someone's suffering has repercussions for the people around them.
